Horror game inspired by Tajikistan legend

The Penjikent Creature is a free adventure game for PC by indie developer CampTeam Games. This is a first-person horror experience that is inspired by the real-life murals from the city of Panjakent located in Tajikistan. It centers around a mural that depicts the image of a forsaken creature from urban legends.

An image brought to life

In The Penjukent Creature, you play as an archeologist who has come in contact with a person named Bertha who is in possession of an ancient artifact. It's a mural that dates back to the 6th century during the time of the Sogdian people and depicts a long-forgotten creature called Ebeğn.

You decide to spend the night in order to analyze the mural and read up on old text to know more about it. It's the middle of the night when you suddenly hear a noise in the house and proceed to check it out. Now, before you dive in to find out what's next, just know that gameplay itself is quite short, lasting only a few minutes. However, there are multiple endings you can unlock that encourage another playthrough.

Intriguing and engrossing

All in all, The Penjikent Creature is an interesting horror game that does a great job of bringing an old urban legend to life. The story is engrossing and while the gameplay is short, it's an experience worth having for any fan of the genre. Try it now and see for yourself.
